Atropine Therapy
Atropine Therapy uses eye drops to help slow the progression of Myopia. Atropine drops temporarily immobilize the muscle that focuses the eye. This helps relax the overall focus mechanisms in the eye thereby reducing the fatigue and strain that is believed to help cause myopia.
Atropine treatment
Atropine eye drops, as a prescriptive treatment, work to help slow the progression of Myopia. This therapy however does not correct vision. Glasses and or contacts will still be required for corrective vision. The Atropine simply works to slow down Myopia.
This is a very effective solution for younger children where other Myopia Control options may not be a fit.
